On behalf of all the members and friends of Northminster Presbyterian
Church of Las Cruces, New Mexico, we extend a warm welcome to you.
Located in the heart of the
Mesilla Valley, Northminster Church serves a wide variety of people and
groups. Made up of approximately 300 communicant members, Northminster
Presbyterian is truly "a church family for all ages." Men, women, youth,
children, married people, single people, black, brown or white: anyone can
feel a part of this loving group of Christians. We are united in this love
by the love of Jesus Christ and our desire to serve the world in His name.
Many things could be said which might characterize our church. Our commitment
to the Authority and relevance of the Bible might be one of those outstanding
characteristics. We believe that the Bible is not simply a book of ancient
literature, but God's word to us. We encourage people to study the Bible,
meditate on it daily and listen to it as the source of practical truth in
the weekly sermon.
Another outstanding characteristic of NPC is that we are committed to lifting up the name and message of Jesus Christ to a hurting and spiritually hungry world. There is true hope in Jesus and lives are continually being transformed as they come into a relationship with Christ and as faith in Christ grows.
Belonging to a church can be a fun and rewarding experience. Belonging to Northminster Presbyterian is an exceptionally fun and adventurous experience. There are groups and activities for every age and interest. But as good as that may be, belonging to Jesus Christ for all eternity is the greatest adventure of all and we cordially invite people from every walk of life to join with us as we continue on that journey of faith.
NPC is a local congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA). The Presbyterian Church (USA) is divided into Synods and Presbyteries to better help the larger church complete its mission. Northminster is one of 24 churches that comprise the Presbytery of Sierra Blanca. We are one of two Presbyterian Churches in Las Cruces. We are active supporters of the Presbyterian Campus Ministry and other local, national and global ministries sponsored by the Presbyterian Church.
We are also committed to a number of local ministry projects. These include Habitat for Humanity, The Gospel Rescue Mission, Prison Family Services/Visitor Hospitality House, Christian Day Nursery, Casa de Peregrinos Food Bank, La Casa Shelter for Battered Women and children and Casas por Cristo which is an organization that helps churches from around the country go into Mexico to build houses for poor families.
Finding a church home is an exciting adventure. So is the Christian Life. We invite you to join that adventure with us as we serve Christ in the World, learn more about Him through the Word of God and as we share in fellowship and love among the people of God.
