The Casas Por Cristo Motto - "To Show Christ and Make Him Known"
Casas Por Cristo is a non-profit ministry, with a staff that has 15 years experience working on public projects in Mexico.
Wesley and Mary Bell spent two years directing projects while living at Rancho La Argentina, 400 miles south of Nogales in the state of Sonora.
Three years ago they began their ministry in Juarez through offices located in El Paso, Texas. In 1992, they supervised the building of 65 housing units with the help of 51 teams for a total of 1,062 volunteers who came from 17 different states.
In 1995, the program had 48 teams with a total of 986 volunteers from 18 different states and 62 units were constructed, including churches, feeding centers, orphanages, classrooms for a Christian school and another set of classrooms for a Christian music academy.
Other staff members have extensive experience in the Casas Por Cristo concept. Additional short-term staff members come from throughout the U.S. to volunteer their time to work and supervise team projects.
